I love this one from the Paper Source Blog. The example above is a graduation gift but you could personalize it for any occasion. Start with a gift box from somewhere else and cover over the branding with your own page of lovely words for a clean, modern looking gift.
This idea comes from Pinterest but the original pinner did not properly track-back so I am not sure where it first came from -sorry! Plain brown paper with a gorgeous photo of the person to whom you are giving the gift. I know a ton of camera savvy people out there who would be able to deliver killer gifts in this style!
I love this idea! More brown paper with double sided tape and a ton of hole punched color paper confetti. Just punch, stick and vaccuum! Easy!
If all that is not quite enough for you, check out this blog for more inspiration. The title alone was enough to get me to take a look! It has some great ideas.
I especially like the hole punched/tape ribbon, it's really fun. Now all that's left is getting the perfect card to go with those creatively wrapped gifts. As someone artistically challenged I usually end up relying on something like tinyprints.com or americangreetings.com to get something pretty yet easy to create. Any suggestions on other tools to help us artistically challenged create cards worthy of the wrapping?

Hi Shannon, Great point! I just posted with some ideas that I found online that look cute, fairly inexpensive and actually might turn out like the samples!

I made some custom wrapping paper last year with collages some vintage family pictures for each person. Just a photo copier with some big prints and then highlighted them with Prism markers for color and decorations. After all that I wanted to do custom cards too and used Amer Greetings since they had so many options online. It sounds like a lot of work but everyone talks about their gifts long after the holidays. Now I have to figure out how to top that this year! hohoho
